Restructuring Supply Chains Book an intro conversation
For supply-chain, operations and procurement directors at goods-flow companies

See which nodes, roles, suppliers and locations AI and robotics will restructure in your supply chain, and restructure ahead of it.

Vendor-neutral foresight across the firms in your chain: where automation lands first, what it does to your footprint and cost structure, and what to change before your competitors do.

Unlike integrators and automation consultants, who build the case for one site, we look across your chain over 3–7 years and sell no hardware. The intro conversation is free. Humanity Solutions, The Hague.

Empirical grounding

Three documented forces that restructure a chain

We separate measured statistical data, industry direction surveys and binding statutory dates so you can base decisions on verifiable facts rather than vendor hype.

Industry survey · Direction

The chain turns capital-intensive

BCG expects AI and robotics to turn logistics from a labour-intensive into a capital- and technology-intensive business, with future jobs shifting toward exception management and oversight of the wider network.

Official statistics · Netherlands

Labour decides where nodes sit

In Q3 2026, 40.9% of Dutch transport and storage firms named a shortage of staff as their main obstacle, against 32.8% across all firms. Automation changes which sites, roles and locations still make sense.

Binding EU law · Enacted dates

Rules arrive on a calendar

Machinery Regulation: from 20 Jan 2027. AI Act high-risk rules: from 2 Dec 2027 (Annex III) and 2 Aug 2028 (AI in products such as machinery). CSDDD: from 26 Jul 2029, for EU firms with over 5,000 staff and €1.5bn turnover, reaching suppliers through customer requests. CSRD now covers firms with over 1,000 staff and €450m turnover.

Explore how AI and robotics restructure your nodes, roles and regulatory calendar

Test two structural views before or alongside the 15-question diagnostic: inspect node-by-node exposure across the value chain and filter the EU regulatory calendar for your footprint.

The interactive workbench requires JavaScript. All core evidence and the regulatory dates are shown in the sections above and below.

Chain Readiness for AI and robotics

Fifteen questions across five things AI and robotics restructure: nodes, roles, suppliers and partners, locations, and cost structures. You get a readiness index, a visual profile across all five areas and a phased set of next moves.

Calculated in your browser. Nothing is stored or sent unless you choose to include your summary in a message.

The diagnostic needs JavaScript. You can still book an intro conversation.

Inside the Chain Exposure Report

Generated automatically from your diagnostic and context inputs (no human review). Delivered as a structured B2B PDF briefing once online checkout launches.

  1. Executive Exposure Profile: Your overall Readiness Index, weighted breakdown across the 5 structural pillars, and where mismatches between your nodes and your partners create hidden transition risk.
  2. Node & Role Restructuring Map: Which warehouse, production and planning steps face near-term robotics/AI substitution vs. augmentation, and which hard-to-staff roles shift toward exception handling and network oversight.
  3. Supplier, 3PL & Vendor Lock-in Checklist: Concrete due-diligence questions to ask Tier-1 suppliers, 3PLs, WMS/TMS providers and Robots-as-a-Service (RaaS) vendors on data portability, API standards and exit terms.
  4. Footprint & Cost-Structure Sensitivity: How shifting from direct labour opex to capex or RaaS subscriptions changes your break-even volume and weakens or strengthens current site locations.
  5. Statutory Timeline & 90-Day Watchlist: Dates and operational triggers for EU Regulation 2023/1230 (Machinery), the AI Act (as amended by the AI Omnibus) and Omnibus I (CSRD/CSDDD), plus your 90-day action sequence.

Need a tailored, multi-site investigation with your leadership team and partner data instead? That is the Chain Restructuring Audit (from €15,000 excl. VAT). And for single work-cell human–robot task design, see our partner Sumnetics.
